Key Responsibilities



  • Greet and assist customers promptly and professionally at the medical store counter.

  • Understand and provide information about medicines, including usage, dosage, and potential side effects, within the scope of your knowledge.

  • Process sales transactions accurately using the billing system and handle cash or card payments.

  • Maintain and organize the medicine stock, ensuring that shelves are well stocked and products are within their expiry dates.

  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of inventory.

  • Keep records of sales and stock, reporting discrepancies or shortages to management.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the store, especially the sales counter area.

  • Follow company policies and compliance requirements related to the sale of pharmaceutical products.

  • Handle customer queries and resolve minor complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic understanding of common medicines and pharmaceutical products.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Good communication skills in English and local language.

  • Ability to handle cash and operate billing software or cash registers.

  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

  • Trustworthy and responsible with a focus on ethical practices in handling medicines.



Experience



  • Freshers are welcome to apply.

  • Prior experience in medical store sales, pharmacy assistance, or retail sales will be an advantage but is not mandatory.



Working Hours



  • Full-time position.

  • Typical working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

  • May require flexibility to work on some Sundays or holidays depending on store requirements.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and common medicines.

  • Ability to learn and adhere to regulatory guidelines for medical sales.

  • Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving abilities.

  • Capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

  • Good numerical skills for billing and stock management.
