Job Summary


Fresher Jobs Hub is looking for a strategic, hands‑on Senior Content Writer & Creator who can plan, write, edit, and ship high-impact content that attracts, educates, and converts our global audience. You will own our editorial voice across long-form articles, landing pages, thought-leadership pieces, email campaigns, social copy, scripts for short-form video, and more. If you thrive on turning complex ideas into compelling narratives, are data-informed yet fiercely creative, and can lead content projects end-to-end in a fully remote setup, we want to hear from you.




Key Responsibilities



  • Content Strategy & Ownership



    • Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with business, SEO, and brand objectives.

    • Build and maintain an editorial calendar with clear priorities, formats, channels, and KPIs.



  • End-to-End Content Creation



    • Write, edit, and proofread long- and short-form content: blogs, guides, whitepapers, newsletters, social posts, video scripts, case studies, landing pages, and ads.

    • Repurpose cornerstone content into multi-channel assets (e.g., infographics, carousels, reels, email sequences).



  • SEO & Performance



    • Conduct keyword research, optimize on-page SEO, and collaborate with growth/SEO teams to improve rankings and organic traffic.

    • Track performance with analytics tools (e.g., GA4, GSC, Ahrefs/SEMrush) and iterate based on insights.



  • Quality & Governance



    • Define and enforce tone of voice, style guides, and editorial standards.

    • Ensure factual accuracy, compliance, readability, inclusivity, and brand consistency.



  • Cross-Functional Collaboration



    • Partner with product, marketing, design, and social teams to deliver cohesive multi-format campaigns.

    • Brief and manage freelancers or junior writers; provide constructive editorial feedback.



  • Innovation & Enablement



    • Experiment with AI-assisted writing, content automation, and new formats (podcasts, webinars, short/vertical video).

    • Stay on top of industry trends, audience shifts, and platform best practices.






Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability with a sharp eye for grammar, structure, and clarity.

  • Proven expertise in SEO writing, content architecture, and content distribution strategies.

  • Strong command of analytics and experimentation (A/B testing headlines, CTAs, formats).

  • Proficiency with modern content and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Notion, Jira/Trello/Asana, CMS platforms like WordPress/Contentful).

  • Ability to translate complex, data-heavy or technical topics into accessible, high-performing content.

  • Comfortable operating in a remote, asynchronous, metric-driven environment.

  • Portfolio that demonstrates range (formats, tones, industries) and measurable outcomes.




Experience



  • 5–7+ years of professional content writing/editing experience, ideally in B2C/B2B tech, careers/HR, education, or media.

  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a content function, editorial calendar, or brand voice.

  • Experience managing/mentoring writers or freelancers is a plus.

  • Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or related degree preferred — or equivalent, demonstrable experience.




Working Hours



  • 40 hours per week, fully remote within South Africa.

  • Flexible schedule with core collaboration hours: 10:00–16:00 SAST.

  • Occasional evening calls to sync with global stakeholders may be required (with advance notice and flexibility provided).

  • Project management — ability to juggle multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities.

  • Adaptability & curiosity — eagerness to test new formats, tools, and distribution channels.
