Job Description
Job Summary
Fresher Jobs Hub is looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead end‑to‑end product design across multiple squads, elevate our design system, and champion user-centered decision making at scale. You will combine strategic product thinking with hands‑on craft—shaping vision, aligning stakeholders, running research, and delivering elegant, accessible, high-performing interfaces used by millions. As a senior individual contributor, you’ll mentor designers, influence roadmap priorities, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and GTM to ship outcomes, not just outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own complex problem spaces from discovery to delivery: frame opportunities, craft hypotheses, prototype, test, iterate, and ship.
- Set and communicate a compelling product vision and UX strategy that aligns to business goals and user needs.
- Define, extend, and govern our design system (components, tokens, accessibility standards) to ensure quality and speed at scale.
- Lead mixed‑methods user research (generative & evaluative) in partnership with researchers—or solo when needed.
- Create high‑fidelity UI, interaction flows, and micro‑interactions in tools like Figma, ensuring consistency and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA+).
- Quantify impact with product analytics, experimentation (A/B, multivariate), and outcome metrics (activation, retention, conversion).
- Mentor and coach designers through structured critique, design reviews, and career guidance.
- Partner deeply with Engineering to ensure feasibility, quality, and efficient implementation; write thoughtful specs and acceptance criteria.
- Influence product roadmaps with evidence-based perspectives; drive alignment across executives and cross-functional partners.
- Evangelize design maturity across the organization—processes, rituals, documentation, and ways of working.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record (portfolio required) of shipping complex, high-impact B2B or B2C products as a senior/staff/principal designer.
- Expert proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping) and modern collaboration tools (Miro, Notion, Jira).
- Deep systems thinking—you design for scalability, reusability, and consistency.
- Strong UX writing and information architecture capabilities.
- Research fluency: planning studies, conducting interviews/usability tests, survey design, and synthesizing insights into actionable decisions.
- Data literacy: comfort reading dashboards, event funnels, and experiment results; ability to triangulate qual + quant.
- Accessibility-first mindset and knowledge of inclusive design best practices.
- Excellent storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments and making decisions with incomplete information.
- Fluent English (written & spoken). Additional EMEA languages are a plus.
Experience
- 8+ years of end-to-end product design experience, including at least 2+ years at Staff/Principal level or equivalent scope.
- Experience mentoring or leading other designers without formal line management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success influencing product strategy and driving measurable business/user outcomes.
- Prior work on multi-platform products (web + mobile) and with componentized design systems.
- Bonus: marketplace, edtech, HR-tech, or growth/activation experience.
Working Hours
- Fully remote within EMEA time zones.
- Core collaboration window: 10:00–16:00 CET (08:00–14:00 UTC) to overlap with Product & Engineering partners.
- Flexible schedule outside core hours for focused work, research sessions, or stakeholder collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Product Sense: You instinctively balance user value, business impact, and technical constraints.
- Systems & Platform Thinking: You design frameworks and patterns that scale across teams and surfaces.
- Influence Without Authority: You build trust, align diverse viewpoints, and drive decisions.
- Outcome Orientation: You measure what matters and iterate until the outcome is achieved.
- Operational Excellence: You elevate processes—briefs, specs, crits, documentation—to make the org faster and better.
- Craft Mastery: Pixel precision, motion principles, and accessibility are non-negotiables for you.
Benefits
- 100% remote across EMEA with a thoughtful async-first culture.
- Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
- Home-office stipend (equipment, tools, and workspace).
- Learning & development budget for conferences, courses, and coaching.
- Flexible time off & regional holidays policy.
- Well-being benefits (mental health support, wellness stipend).
- Inclusive parental leave.
Why Join
- High ownership, high impact: You’ll shape the product vision and the design function’s maturity.
- Design as a strategic lever: Exec-level buy-in for user research, experimentation, and design systems.
- Work with sharp, kind people who care about quality, speed, and outcomes.
- Solve meaningful problems at scale for job seekers and employers worldwide.
- A culture that values depth, craft, and autonomy—not just velocity.
