Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Process Associate to join our Walmart Accounts Payable (AP) team within the BPO domain. In this role, you will be responsible for processing, validating, and reconciling vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with Walmart’s financial policies and internal controls.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in finance, accounting, or commerce to gain hands-on experience in a global retail finance operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices for accuracy, authorization, and compliance with Walmart's policies.
- Perform 2-way or 3-way matching of invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues by coordinating with internal departments and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and support monthly closing activities.
- Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and quality standards.
- Assist in payment runs, vendor reconciliations, and audit queries.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update documentation as needed.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the AP function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable concepts (invoice processing, payment cycles, vendor reconciliation).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (as per business requirements).
Preferred Experience:
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations in a BPO or shared services environment.
- Familiarity with Walmart’s systems or retail finance processes is an added advantage.
- Experience with vendor management and invoice troubleshooting.
